It’s short, fat and ugly. A dweller in waves that you’d normally never look twice at. THE BULLFROG is going to be invading your local line-up this Summer!
Inspired by a less than impressive Spring period on the East Coast of Australia comes a board that will have you hunting slop. A low entry rocker, combined with a vee bottom helps make this board one of the easiest paddling boards you’ll ever surf. The short, fun outline comes standard as 5 fin set-up to give you more versatility.
“The Flat Head by Stacey Surfboards has a fun stubby shortboard outline that loves getting amongst the smaller waves. With a nice flat deck and full rolled rail, combined with a single to double concave and a flatter entry rocker, you are going to have plenty of fun on this beast.
The Flat Head is perfect for those smaller days. Surfed in a thruster setup, this board is a simple, uncomplicated template that will do everything you need.”
Just like your trusty 5150, The Machine Head will get the job done. Even after all those shows in tiny rooms & sweaty underground clubs. It’s going to constantly do what you need it to, even when under pressure. Trusted to handle whatever you throw at it. Shred on…
“With a wider, shorter template with plenty of volume and a 5-fin setup, we introduce you to Neptunes Ride. With a nice soft rail, single into a double concave with vee out the back and a nice round tail, this board catches almost anything and is a tonne of fun. The Neptune Ride by Stacey is best suited to knee to overhead waves and gives you the speed and paddle power to catch just about anything and carve nicely while still allowing you to get tight and critical in the pocket. “ Lee Stacey
“The swell has been small, but the local point break has been perfect for taking my boy surfing. Mini waves zipping down the line. Luckily, I had my old Summer Jam from 2013 in the garage. This got me thinking. What if we tweaked it just a touch by pulling in the nose slightly, removing the vee bottom and add some concave so you could turn harder and faster?
Summer 2016 sees “The Return Of The Jam”, the sequel to the Summer Jam. It still has a really flat deck that gives you a skateboard feel. It’s got added concave with vee in the tail to help generate speed and easy rail-to-rail transition. This time around, we’ve narrowed the nose ever so slightly so you can turn quicker. Five fins for versatility. Sequels have never been so much fun. Make sure you check out the ‘Return Of The Jam’ this Summer”

The Grizzly is a powerful, top-of-the-food-chain predator. Chosen by Mitch Crews, Evan Gieselman, Kalani David & Jesse Adam. Much of their diet consists of pocket surfing, tight arcs and down the line speed. Grizzly’s have a pulled in nose outline compared to other shortboards over the last 5 years. It’s deep single to double concave allows it to hunt prey fast. The extra layer of foam under the chest helps with paddling.

Extensive testing with Dakoda Walters to ensure that it performs in all the right places for a younger surfer.
The Roach comes from a collaboration I did a few years ago with Bob Hurley based on a board he made for Rabbit Bartholemew back in the 80′s. The Rab3 is a really popular board that is made for the Hurley staff and team and I wanted to make a modern version of this for the Stacey brand. I’ve used the Rab3 as the base, but have tweaked every aspect of it it to give a really nice, settled feel when on the wave. It’s still got the Hip Swallow Tail and intricate bottom contours to give it drive and a tight turning arc. It is available in either thruster or a five fin set-up to give you more options when you’re at the beach. The Roach in 2017 is also available with Square Tail for a fun, 1980’s feel, but with modern capabilities.
